Laila Pawlak

Laila Pawlak is the co-founder & CEO of SingularityU Nordic as well as a faculty member and moderator at Singularity University.


As the CEO of SingularityU Nordic, Laila heads up the +7,000 square meter SingularityU Nordic innovation campus based in Copenhagen that offers a variety of education programs, accelerators, a makerspace, tech lab, bio lab, as well as a co-working space for both startups and corporates leveraging exponential technologies for positive impact.


Laila is passionate about innovation through human-centered design. Along with her partner Kris Østergaard, she is the author of The Fundamental 4s: How to Design Extraordinary Customer Experiences in an Exponential World as well as the Danish version of the bestseller Exponential Organisations.


Laila is a sought-after speaker on customer experiences, entrepreneurship, corporate innovation and creating an exponential mindset. Her background is as a corporate intrapreneur, more than a decade as a successful entrepreneur and holds a strong voice for bridging the two worlds. Ethics and purposeful business is key to Laila, which is also why she has launched SingularityU Nordic as one of the first benefit corporations in Scandinavia.


Laila has also founded the highly successful accelerator thinkubator, a corporate, crowdfunded accelerator program that supports corporates to work with entrepreneurs and establish their own incubator to kickstart innovation, leverage technology, and deep dive into the exponential mindset. Similarly, she co-founded the award-winning innovation hub DARE2mansion; a professional playground in Copenhagen, which serves as an incubator, co-working, and event space where entrepreneurs, companies, and academia come together to create disruptive businesses and scale positive impact.

Laila has been awarded the prestigious Experience Management Achievement Award, has been recognized as one of the top 100 most talented business executives in Denmark, and has been nominated for Female Entrepreneur of the Year twice. She is an active angel investor, board member and advisor to politicians and organizations.

Adetayo Bamiduro

Adetayo Bamiduro is the Cofounder and CEO of Metro Africa Xpress (MAX) – a last-mile delivery platform that uses proprietary apps, maps and motorcycles to provide express delivery to retailers in Africa.


Adetayo graduated top 2% in his Computer Science Class at the University of Ibadan and earned his MBA from 2 of the world’s most prestigious institutions – MIT in the USA and London Business School in the UK. Before founding MAX, Adetayo worked as a Developer, Product Manager and Management Consultant across 4 continents for global companies such as PwC, Shell and Dalberg.


During his MBA program, Adetayo was awarded the MIT Legatum and MasterCard Fellowships to develop MAX. After graduating in summer 2015, Adetayo launched MAX and immediately led his team to remarkable success. Within 3 months, MAX grew 1500% and signed up over 100 retailers including


In September 2015, MAX became the first startup from Africa to join the exclusive Techstars New York Startup Accelerator Program. By December 2015, MAX had set another record as the 1st technology startup from Africa to win 1st runner-up at Techcrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield in London.


MAX is on a mission to fix Africa’s broken urban delivery and transport system using proprietary apps that connect independent drivers to businesses and consumers in real-time. MAX clocked 20,000 deliveries in July 2016 and is on its way to becoming Africa’s No 1 Urban Transport Network.
